My concern about the review profile
I’m concerned about the reliability and completeness of the property’s Google review profile, including whether negative reviews remain visible and whether some positive reviews accurately reflect residents’ experiences.
To be clear: I can’t independently verify every reviewer’s experience, and I can’t establish that any particular review was purchased or removed in exchange for payment. What I can tell you is what happened to us.
How to research an apartment’s reviews
- Read detailed reviews, not just star averages, and sort by newest and lowest.
- Compare several sources: Google, Yelp, apartment listing sites, Reddit and independent accounts like this one.
- Be cautious of bursts of short five-star reviews posted close together.
- Talk to current residents if you can, and visit at different times of day.
