My wife and I signed a lease here in February 2026, and we rent one of the most expensive units on the property. Given what we pay in rent, I expected a high standard of property management, responsive maintenance, and a well-maintained living environment. Unfortunately, our experience has been very different.
I’m publishing this review to share my firsthand experience with prospective residents who are researching The Beverly One Scottsdale reviews, complaints, and resident experiences before signing a lease. I believe people deserve to understand the potential downsides of living here, particularly when considering an expensive apartment in Scottsdale.
1. A water leak that took months to address
One of our biggest problems involved water leaking from the HVAC closet into one of our bathrooms and the bedroom area. Rather than being resolved promptly, the problem remained for approximately three months before repairs were made. During that time, part of our bedroom and the closet in our bathroom were unusable.
For a property at this price point, I found the length of time it took to address the issue unacceptable. A water leak affecting a bathroom and bedroom should be treated as a serious maintenance concern, with clear communication and a timely plan to restore the affected areas. More on the leak →
2. Flooring was taken from another apartment to repair ours
The handling of the flooring made the situation even more frustrating. Instead of replacing our damaged flooring with new material, flooring was taken from unit 1044 and installed in our apartment. As I understand it, this left unit 1044 with torn-up flooring that would need to be repaired before it could be rented again.
From my perspective, this raises questions about how ownership prioritizes maintenance costs and the condition of its apartments. I would have expected a more comprehensive repair solution rather than moving the problem from one unit to another.
3. Unpredictable contractors and poor communication
The repair process was frustrating in its own right. The contractor hired to perform the work would sometimes arrive, work for approximately an hour, and then leave. We were not given a reliable schedule for when the contractors would return or what time they would arrive. This made it difficult to plan our lives around work that was taking place inside our home.
The entire process took approximately two months to complete, during which portions of our bedroom and bathroom closet remained unusable. Good apartment management should involve clear communication, realistic repair timelines, and regular updates. In our experience, those expectations were not met.
4. Promised compensation for the inconvenience
I raised the situation with the property manager and asked whether we would receive any rent concession or other compensation for the extended inconvenience. I was told that we would receive a concession. However, as of the time I am writing this review, I have not received the concession I was told to expect.
The unresolved promise has added to my frustration. It has also left me questioning how resident concerns are handled when a maintenance issue significantly affects the use of an apartment.
Update: It has been approximately five months since the original incident, based on my account of the timeline, and this remains a major point of dissatisfaction. More on the concession →
5. Questions about the lease entity and online rent payments
Another issue I noticed concerns the company named on our lease and the entity associated with our online rent payments. Our lease identifies One Multifamily Owner LLC, while the online payment process appears to direct payments to SLR Ventures LLC. I was not aware of this distinction when signing the lease.
I cannot determine from this alone whether the arrangement is improper, but I believe residents should receive clear information about the entities involved in their lease and rent payment arrangements. I would encourage prospective residents to review their lease documents, confirm the appropriate payment recipient, and ask management for written clarification if they have questions. More on this →
6. Trash buildup and hallway odors
The maintenance concerns have not been limited to our apartment. There have been recurring problems with trash accumulating in the trash room. When trash builds up, it creates an unpleasant smell that spreads throughout the first-floor hallway.
Clean and well-maintained common areas are an important part of apartment living. Residents should not have to routinely deal with persistent odors in shared hallways, especially at a property positioned at the higher end of the rental market.
7. Garage gate frequently out of service
Another recurring frustration has been the garage gate, which has frequently been out of service in my experience. Parking access and functioning entry systems are basic expectations for a residential property.
Repeated problems with the garage gate add to the impression that maintenance and upkeep have not met the standard I expected when we signed our lease. Taken together with the water leak, flooring repairs, trash buildup, and communication issues, these recurring problems have significantly affected my overall impression of the property.
8. Concerns about online reviews of The Beverly One Scottsdale
I also have concerns about how prospective residents can evaluate online feedback about this property. I am publishing this review on an independent website because I want my account to remain accessible to people researching The Beverly One Scottsdale reviews and complaints.
I am concerned about the reliability and completeness of the Google review profile, including whether negative reviews remain visible and whether some positive reviews accurately reflect residents’ experiences. I cannot independently verify every reviewer’s experience or establish that a particular review was purchased or removed in exchange for payment. My own experience, however, is why I believe prospective renters should seek out detailed accounts, compare multiple sources, and ask specific questions before making a leasing decision.
I encourage current and former residents to share honest, firsthand experiences, whether positive or negative, so prospective renters can make a more informed choice.
9. Is The Beverly One Scottsdale worth the rent?
Based on my experience, I have been disappointed with the level of maintenance, communication, and property upkeep at The Beverly One Scottsdale. The main concerns I would want prospective renters to investigate before signing a lease include:
- Maintenance response times: Ask how water leaks and other significant repair issues are handled.
- Repair quality: Ask how damaged flooring and other interior finishes are restored after a maintenance problem.
- Contractor scheduling: Find out how residents are notified about maintenance visits and repair timelines.
- Rent concessions: Ask for any promised compensation or concessions in writing.
- Common-area cleanliness: Visit the property and inspect trash rooms, hallways, and shared spaces.
- Garage and access systems: Ask about recurring outages and how quickly they are resolved.
- Lease and payment arrangements: Confirm the legal entity named in the lease and the authorized recipient of rent payments.
These are the issues I would investigate carefully if I were considering renting here today.
Final verdict: my review of The Beverly One Scottsdale
For what we pay in rent, I find these experiences deeply disappointing. My wife and I chose this property with the expectation of a high-quality apartment and professional management. Instead, we have dealt with an extended water leak, lengthy and unpredictable repairs, parts of our home being unusable, an unresolved promised concession, trash-related odors, and recurring garage gate problems.
I am sharing this account so that prospective renters can consider these experiences before committing to a lease at The Beverly One Scottsdale. This is my personal account of our experience, and other residents may have different experiences. I encourage anyone considering this property to read a variety of reviews, ask detailed questions, and get important promises in writing before signing.
